The diesel heater kit Eberspacher/Espar Airtronic S2 D2L is the most commonly used and recommended diesel heater for the Mercedes Sprinter 144, and for good reasons. The Espar S2 D2L heater kit offers a maximum power of 2.2 kW (7500 BTU). The updated D2L model features automatic altitude adjustment and can operate at high altitudes up to 9900 feet (3 kilometers) when equipped with the EasyStart Pro controller.
